EHS Academy Kicks off Energy Efficiency Program with the Supply Chain

[Aug 24th, 2010 Guangzhou]

On August 24th, 2010, the Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Academy at Lingnan College of Sun Yat-sen University kicked off its Energy Efficiency program with the supply chain in Guangdong. EHS Practitioners and managers from six factories based in Pearl River Delta (PRD) participated in the program. The ten-month program will help these factories improve energy efficiency significantly and strategically, providing comprehensive assistance on energy and climate issues-from developing their own energy plans, to setting and achieving the energy saving targets-by organizing energy auditing, providing professional training and consultation. At the end of the program, the factories will obtain necessary skills needed to improve energy efficiency in their capacity, thereby contributing to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
