Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) Academy Improves Management of Toxic Chemicals in Chinese Factories

On August 19, 2011, the Nanjing University - ISC Environment, Health and Safety Academy held a public forum on chemical management in Suzhou, China to provide training to 115 managers from 90 companies on chemical regulations, management of chemical hazards, chemical exposure assessments, occupational health surveillance, and emergency response best practices. China's Regulations on Dangerous Chemical Management was recently revised, so the speakers from law firms, government, industrial companies and an occupational health institute provided important updates to attendees on new requirements for promoting compliance and minimizing chemical releases and exposure.
